Woman Life Freedom: Art as an activist

After the death of 22 years old, Mahsa Amini, from the compulsory hijab, a protest started in Iran in which women are on front line chanting “Women, Life, Freedom”. Under an extreme dictatorship, the government started suppressing protesters and many other innocent civilians. From there, deaths and kidnappings have ensued.

This is an illustration of this revolution through the artists eyes. Women as leaders are carrying the weight of this protest against gender discrimination, social, and economical problems that Iranians have been experiencing for decades.

This series illustrates the state of freedom for women while unfolding brutal discrimination of their bodies and soul. This work is to celebrate the feminine energy. Creating connection among humans through sharing pain and reflecting what is really happening in other parts of the world. In the end, we are all connected through energy, pain and happiness.
